Job Summary
The Dispatcher is a critical team member responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls, booking service appointments, and dispatching technicians based on skill, location, and availability. This role ensures a seamless daily workflow and delivers exceptional customer experiences through outstanding verbal communication and efficient service coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Call Management: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls promptly and professionally, providing accurate service information and following up on leads, estimates, and appointments.
Appointment Scheduling: Convert customer inquiries into scheduled appointments by identifying needs, providing quotes, and confirming service details to meet sales targets and customer expectations.
Dispatch Coordination: Assign technicians to jobs based on skill, location, and availability, ensuring efficient route planning and timely service delivery.
Data Entry: Accurately enter and maintain customer and service information in the dispatch software, ensuring all records are complete and up-to-date.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with a professional, solution-oriented approach, escalating issues when necessary.
Technician Support: Communicate appointment details to technicians, assist with service-related inquiries, and ensure they have all necessary job information.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Exceptional verbal communication and phone etiquette (required).
Fast, accurate data entry with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first attitude.
Familiarity with service dispatch software (e.g., Workiz) preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a dispatch, customer service representative, or scheduling role, preferably in home services. (preferred)
Proven experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Additional Requirements
Ability to reliably commute to our office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Availability to work full-time hours, including Saturdays on a rotating schedule.
No special certifications or licenses required.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18–$22/hour, depending on experience.
Bonuses: Weekly performance bonus based on booking rate and sales.
