Dispatcher – Logistics Company

Full-Time | 40+ Hours/Week | On-Site

Our company is launching a new high-performing delivery operation, and we are looking for an ambitious, driven Dispatcher to join our leadership track from Day 1.

This is an entry-level role with plenty of growth potential. The Dispatcher will be trained to fully master both dispatching and delivering to ensure deep understanding.

Role Overview

The Dispatcher supports daily operations by coordinating drivers, monitoring routes in real time, managing communication, troubleshooting on-road issues, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery execution. This is a hands-on role requiring open availability across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Dispatch & Driver Support

• Coordinate daily delivery associate check-in/check-out, route assignment, and van allocation

• Monitor delivery routes in real time using routing tools

• Track safety compliance, delivery metrics, and route performance throughout the day

• Assist drivers with on-road issues: navigation, package rescues, delays, accidents, or escalations

• Maintain high level of communication with the team during dispatch windows

• Support shift changes, break tracking, and end-of-day closeout

Operational Excellence

• Troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize route delays

• Document daily performance metrics and contribute to operational improvement plans

• Ensure vans are deployed safely, fueled, and fleet concerns are reported immediately

• Maintain records, logs, and dispatch notes for operational reporting

Delivery Associate Mastery (Required)

• Complete full DA training and pass certification

• Run routes as needed for coverage, training, or operational understanding

• Serve as an example of safe driving, customer obsession, and delivery standards

Leadership Track Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, DA coaching, and performance feedback

• Help implement a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence

• Take on increased responsibilities as the company grows (DA Manager, Ops Manager, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Open availability - mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays

• Comfortable working 40+ hours per week

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to problem-solve quickly under pressure

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform delivery duties when needed

Preferred but not required:

• Experience as a dispatcher, delivery driver, courier, rideshare driver, warehouse associate, or similar

• Experience in fast-paced, logistics, customer service, or operations environments
