    Transit Dispatcher/Driver

    The Transit Dispatcher/Driver plays an integral role in the everyday efficiency of Page Transit Express. As such, the dispatcher/driver must provide excellent customer service to riding customers and to transit staff so that the transit service is an inviting service for riders and drivers are supported in the safe progression of their workday. The dispatcher will also drive a bus when necessary.

    Some of the Transit Dispatcher/Driver responsibilities include:

    Providing excellent customer service to customers and the transit team

    Communicate route information to the drivers

    Be a reliable first point of contact for route, driver, and customer difficulties

    Manage staff schedule, requests off, etc.

    Manage transit data collected by the drivers

    Manage cash sales, vault counts, and deposits

    Performing thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections

    Provide a safe and courteous route and demand transit service

    (Proof of eligibility will be required upon offer of employment) For All Express Transit Drivers(Page only): We are required by Federal Highway Administration Regulations, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 382.301, that all driver-applicants of this employer must be tested for controlled substances and alcohol as a precondition for employment.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must be at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License and a clean driving record for the last 3 years. Must be able to pass the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety background check.
