SUMMARY: The Distribution Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities. You will implement quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. This individual will also serve as the point of contact for the Distribution Center. Key organizational objectives are to ensure that resources are fully utilized to ensure that customer orders can be processed and fulfilled in a consistent and timely manner, and inventory management processes are followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Focus on safety, leadership, self-motivation, problem solving and teamwork. • Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse KPIs. • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials. • Actively involved in daily warehouse activities such as assisting in General Labor tasks, operating Forklift. Etc. • Create a positive work environment through real-time observation and specific, constructive, and actionable feedback. • Work with a sense of urgency to ensure that operational plans are executed; performance and budget goals are achieved. • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills within the organization at all levels, keeping in mind the organizational objectives and support to internal and external customers. • Compile and communicate information on operational decisions, trends, and historical information. • Ensure leadership understand and are informed of daily priorities and contingency plans to achieve positive budget and cycle time results. • Build daily and long-term staffing plans with the Plant Manager, considering the impact on seasonal strategies. • Engage Distribution Leadership and Associates in Continuous Improvement strategies to improve Safety, Quality, Speed, and Productivity. • Manage the activities of direct reports and drive efficiencies within the organization. Work for growth and improvement in the company’s overall operation; assist in areas other than your own when needed. • Complete all other projects as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS: • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse and distribution environment. Bilingual English / Spanish 95%. • Thorough knowledge of warehousing/distribution setting, inclusive of picking and packing wholesale customer orders. • Forklift Certified • Experience with logistics on domestic and international shipments, including instructions and documentation. • Broad experience in Mexico/US border operations. • Deep understanding of MRP systems. • Broad Inventory Management experience, cycle counting, shipping, receiving, etc. • Experience in analyzing data and understanding long-term trends. • Must be available and willing to work overtime and some Saturdays. • Must have excellent management, coaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization. Leadership skills are to be cross functional with demonstrated project management experience. • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
LANGUAGE SKILLS • Ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret reports and documents in English. • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
