    Job Summary

    The Distributions associate will work on a small team to review and process tax-reported client transactions. They will represent the department externally to clients, providing them with information about the requirements for these transactions, and internally when assisting other departments with inquiries. They will become experts in the taxation, mechanisms, and reporting of distributions, conversions, and other tax-reported IRA transactions. They will be responsible for providing a positive and informative client services experience, and processing Distributions accurately and in a timely fashion.

    Responsibilities

    The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Review requests from clients for tax-reported IRA transactions, primarily distributions.

    • Communicate with clients about their transactions to ensure smooth processing and a positive client experience.

    • Investigate records regarding past client transactions to resolve inquiries.

    • Provide client-facing departments with timely information about specific client transactions and general distribution procedures.

    • Familiarize yourself, with Entrust’s assistance and educational tools, with the taxation, reporting, and circumstances of tax-reported IRA transactions.

    • Maintain transaction and correspondence records for audit and investigation purposes.

    • Willingness and capacity for learning

    • Remain in compliance with all laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering, privacy policies and procedures

    • Understanding the basics of IRAs, IRA investing, associated IRS regulations

    • Contribute to the development of Entrust’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall productivity of the department

    Qualifications

    • Experience in banking, finance, accounting, or related industries preferred
    • Experience in client services, office administration or related industries preferred
    • Excellent communication and business writing skills
    • Strong critical thinking, information retention, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and to prioritize workload
    • Flexibility and a positive attitude while working with existing & prospective clients, and 3rd parties
    • Deep sense of empathy and ability to communicate across diverse groups while holding to company policies and procedures

    Education and Experience:

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
    • Working knowledge of self-directed retirement plans or retirement industry a plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Able to stand and walk for a minimum of 3 hours in an eight-hour workday.
    • Hand use: continuous keyboarding, frequent simple grasping, and occasional fine manipulation
    • Occasional bending, reaching, and twisting (waist level)
