    District Partners has recently been exclusively engaged by a highly-reputable firm in the Nashville area that is looking to add 2 professionals to their team in preparation for growth between now and the end of 2024.     Responsibilities:

    • Prepare federal and state income taxes for businesses (partnerships and corporations), estates and individuals. Tax preparation takes place throughout the year.
    • Provide year end close services in conjunction with tax preparation, demonstrating strong knowledge of financial statements and correlation between balance sheet, income statement and cash flow.
    • Complete attest services: review and compilation.
    • Perform strategic tax planning and business consulting for clients in a wide variety of industries.
    • Participate in year-end tax planning for self-employed individuals and flow through entities.
    • Review and respond to state and federal IRS notices and/or audit requests.
    • Calculate gains, losses, basis, and future impact of transactions for businesses and individuals.
    • Assist clients with bookkeeping structure, design, and services.
    • Support and assist audit team as required on large audit projects.
    • Maintain and build client relationships, creating a sense of trust and partnership.
    • Understand multiple business models and implication of tax codes on business management decisions.

    Education and experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
    • CPA Certification
    • 5+ years prior public accounting tax experience.
    • QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor certification preferred

    Competencies:

    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Able to work independently, problem solve and multitask, but can ask for help and communicate needs to be successful.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Solid computer skills: Tax software, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite
