Job Description
We seek an experienced accounting professional to support a large publicly-traded cybersecurity client that has a global footprint. This position would be part of a long-term contract (approximately 1 year) with the possibility of converting to permanent. The ideal candidate is a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills, that also thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU IF YOU HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- CPA is a plus
- BIG 4 Experience a plus
- You're a details person with a penchant for preparing meticulously accurate work
- Working knowledge of NetSuite accounting system preferred
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge of PC computer environments with skill in applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel being your secret favorite
- Strong action/results orientation with the ability to work independently and be self-motivated and proactive in achieving individual/team objectives
- You have familiarity with Workday and Oracle ERP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to articulate views convincingly
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization
- Ability to be adaptable/flexible and operate effectively in an unstructured environment
