District Partners is engaged with a veteran owned marketing firm that is searching for a new Senior Portfolio Manager.

The Sr Portfolio Manager will oversee a project portfolio and engage in business development, requiring extensive federal client support, program management, and strategic communications expertise. The role demands effective communication with clients and team members, as well as becoming a trusted advisor for potential clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects and ensure client delivery and contract growth.
• Implement Jira for improved project management.
• Conduct client check-in meetings, provide quality assurance, and review deliverables.
• Offer communication and project management recommendations.
• Oversee communication engagement strategies and lead business development efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in strategic communications, marketing, and advertising campaigns.
• 5+ years in federal government program and project management.
• Experience across specialties (e.g., technology, health, digital).
• Strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle tasks under tight deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate with a project team and interact with senior-level executives.
• Quick grasp of complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to various working styles.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of industry best practices.

The position is remote with occasional trips to the DC Metro Area or client sites.
