  • Responsibilities

    District Partners is engaged by a dynamic, pharmaceutical company, to help them hire a new Solution Architect. The primary responsibility is to design and develop solutions for the organization's business partners, ensuring alignment with specified requirements from both external and internal stakeholders. The incumbent will play a key role in establishing and enforcing IT policy and strategy for selecting IT solutions, as well as coordinating design activities to promote consistency and adherence to standards. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business liaisons, and project stakeholders to deliver tailored enterprise solutions addressing diverse business challenges.
    • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership in the evolution and enhancement of IT solutions for our organization, spanning various technologies and deployment paradigms.
    • Formulate solution designs aligned with overarching architectural objectives and modernization initiatives to drive business objectives.
    • Offer architectural guidance and oversight to ensure the development of scalable, sustainable applications, while adhering to Enterprise Architecture directives and minimizing technical liabilities.
    • Engage in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring a harmonious balance between functionality, service quality, and system management for our online offerings.
    • Manage the portfolio of applications, enforcing design standards and policies to maintain a robust and consistent architectural framework across projects.
    • Evaluate design approaches, recommend architectural enhancements, and address technology gaps and risks, crafting strategies to align systems with target architecture.
    • Lead architectural reviews to ensure scalability and coherence with the overarching architectural vision, while advocating for compliance with relevant standards and policies.
    • Analyze technology landscapes to ensure conformity with established standards and directives.
    • Maintain expertise in leading cloud infrastructure providers and actively apply this knowledge to our technological landscape.
    • Take ownership of understanding client needs, conducting analysis, and delivering effective problem resolutions.
    • Define and develop software technology roadmaps in collaboration with key stakeholders, fostering alignment with organizational goals.
    • Communicate technology strategies in a clear and concise manner to both business leaders and technical teams.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, facilitating their technical growth and adaptation to emerging technologies.

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    • 8 years of experience in engineering and software architecture design.
    • 4 years of experience designing hybrid solutions using SaaS/PaaS offerings and public cloud platforms.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Proficiency in designing solution architectures within hybrid cloud environments, incorporating SaaS solutions and on-premises data centers.
    • Experience across the software development lifecycle, utilizing contemporary methodologies and relevant technologies.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and discern system requirements effectively.
    • Deep analytical capabilities for designing solutions that seamlessly integrate various facets of the organization.
    • Robust organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA), including microservices and self-contained systems.
    • Comfortable working in agile environments, advocating for best practices and architectural cleanliness.
    • Demonstrated track record of delivering technology solutions within established timelines for high-visibility web applications.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with ITIL-based service management.
    • Familiarity with agile software development frameworks and enterprise architectural methodologies.
    • Expertise in developing Microservices architectures and conducting Architecture Refactoring and Modernization.
    • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices.
    • Familiarity with low-code platforms such as Pega Systems and enterprise architecture repositories like Bizz Design or ArchiMate.
    • Understanding of ITIL and TOGAF frameworks is advantageous.
