Work Location: Retail Deli/Meat Sales Counter and Packaging area
Reports To: Front of House Manager
Essential Duties:
· Meet and greet customers in a positive manner to facilitate sales.
· Preparation of products for sale to consumers. This includes, but is not limited to slicing, cutting and packaging of meat and meat products for sale. Use of powered equipment and heating appliances, including meat slicers, grills and scales as required.
· Precisely follow recipes and formulations used to prepare foods including, but not limited to, sandwiches, and other prepared foods sold in the establishment.
· Ability to use company scales and printers to accurately weigh, label and price products.
· Ability use cash register and to receive and count money from customers for purchases.
· Keep work areas in a sanitary/safe condition at all times.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
· Ability to manage all aspects of keeping the inventory system updated and current.
Secondary Duties
· Use vacuum packaging equipment to package and label for sale, foods either produced or purchased from other suppliers. Date products that will be stored in RTE (Ready to Eat Cooler)
· FIFO (First in first out) Rotate all products.
· Assist in the production areas when/where required
Education/Work Experience
· Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
· Knowledge of cooking and mixing food ingredients preferred.
· Previous experience in food processing preferred, but not essential.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to successfully perform the essential job function consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards including qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
· Must be able to listen and speak clearly, to co-workers, customers and on the company telephone.
Dittmer’s current store hours are Tuesday- Saturday 9am-4pm
