    This position shares responsibility for analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory guidelines, preparing and filing company-wide payroll withholding taxes and ensuring that taxable income is reported according to applicable tax code. This position works in a collaborative environment with ongoing opportunities to develop personal strengths and gather experience through a variety of accounting and tax-related assignments. Communication and collaboration with other departments is required. Role Responsibilities Prepare financial statement disclosures and other financial reports Daily and Weekly reconciliation for payroll/tax accounts Prepare federal, state, local (multi-jurisdictional) tax work papers Review federal, state, local (multi-jurisdictional tax returns Daily and Weekly reconciliation for payroll/tax accounts Prepare, maintain and reconcile complex spreadsheets Analyze financial data Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and upload GL accounts Complete U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance checklists Evaluate and assist with implementation of accounting changes Participate in special projects and analyses Perform accounting and regulatory research Assist with audit requests Cross-train on a variety of departmental tasks Required Skills And Qualifications BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting, plus 2 - 5 years relevant work experience or equivalent combined education and experience CPA or working towards CPA test Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel including the ability to perform basic functions and formulas Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing needs of the business Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to work independently and in a group environment Attention to accuracy and detail A positive, pro-active attitude and desire to cross-train Familiarity with federal banking regulations, corporate and state tax code Competitive wages and full benefit package!
