    Job __Summary

    The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Assistant will support the team in advancing the firm’s DEI goals. This role plays a key part in executing firm-wide DEI initiatives, including programming, training, communications, and other strategic efforts aimed at fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace for all firm personnel.

    ** Job** ** __****Responsibilities**

    • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of DEI initiatives and events, including heritage month celebrations, speaker series, bi-annual retreats, training sessions, and affinity group activities.
    • Handle logistics, scheduling, and note-taking for DEI-related meetings, including the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, quarterly affinity group meetings, affinity group leader meetings, LCLD gatherings, and other DEI programs.
    • Works with the DEI Specialist to maintain and update DEI content across internal and external platforms, such as the firm’s intranet, website, LinkedIn, events calendar, program descriptions, affinity group leadership pages, and marketing materials.
    • Organizes the DEI department’s social media posts on behalf of the firm, including language and graphics for heritage month and other days of recognition, in direct coordination with the Marketing team.
    • Assist in compiling and organizing data and other information for industry and client surveys.
    • Process and reconcile invoices and expenses related to DEI activities in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with firm policies.
    • Provide general support for additional DEI projects and initiatives as needed.

    • Strong interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and confidentially with internal and external stakeholders. Requires tact, professionalism, patience, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail in grammar, accuracy, and formatting.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and proactively communicate progress.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently to complete tasks and contribute to team goals.

    Education

    Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    Experience

    A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a law firm or comparable professional services environment, demonstrating the required skills and competencies.

    Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $46,900-$61,530. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
