Our Client is seeking a mission-driven Division Director of Residential & Substance Use to lead multiple high-impact programs serving diverse populations across Los Angeles County. In this hybrid leadership role, you will oversee crisis residential treatment centers and community-based substance use services, ensuring they operate with clinical excellence, compliance, and cultural responsiveness. With more than 1,000 dedicated staff and volunteers, they support over 270,000 individuals annually and are home to one of the country’s first and most recognized Suicide Prevention Centers. Your Role
Lead and manage a division of approximately 100 staff, including three Program Directors
Oversee operations across multiple sites including Pacoima, Inglewood, and Culver City
Direct residential and outpatient substance use programming in compliance with DMH and SAPC
Evaluate program performance, manage budgets, and guide strategic growth
Collaborate with internal leadership and community partners to ensure integrated care
Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and innovation
How You Qualify
LCSW preferred; LMFT and LPCC also considered
At least 4 years in a leadership role within residential mental health and/or substance use treatment
Experience working with Los Angeles County DMH and SAPC in the past 5–8 years
Skilled in program development, supervision, budgeting, and compliance
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Flexible and organized, with the ability to lead across complex, multi-site programs
