    Department/Reports to: Land Department

    Position Summary

    An independent, privately owned oil and gas company is looking for a Division Order Analyst responsible for setting up, maintaining, and analyzing ownership records for its oil and gas properties. This role ensures accurate distribution of production revenues by verifying legal ownership, calculating decimal interests, and resolving title issues in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. The role will cover both operated and non-operated assets generally located in/around the Rockies and Western US. Position is based in Ft. Worth area, TX.

    Key Responsibilities

    Ownership & Revenue Setup

    • Create and maintain division orders for operated and non operated properties

    • Set up owners and decimal interests in revenue accounting systems

    • Update addresses and changes in ownership

    • In conjunction with Land Department, analyze title documents (deeds, leases, probate, affidavits of heirship, assignments, etc.)

    • Verify ownership and pay status prior to revenue distribution

    Title & Legal Review

    • Review title opinions and curative requirements

    • Track and resolve title defects in coordination with Land, Legal, and third party curative teams

    • Ensure ownership complies with state regulations and lease terms

    Financial Accuracy

    • Calculate and verify net revenue interests (NRI) and working interests (WI)

    • Reconcile ownership changes resulting from acquisitions, divestitures, or pooling

    Owner & Stakeholder Support

    • Respond to mineral owner inquiries regarding ownership, division orders, and payments

    • Coordinate with operators, purchasers, joint interest partners, and internal departments

    • Prepare and distribute division order statements and related correspondence

    Investor Relations

    • Unique to company will be to manage inquiries, ownership changes and delivery of statements and related correspondence to company investors

    Compliance & Controls

    • Ensure revenue distribution complies with state statutes and company policies

    • Support audits and internal controls related to ownership and revenue

    • Maintain accurate documentation and digital records


    Required Qualifications

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Business, Accounting, Energy Management, or related field preferred)

    • 5+ years of Division Order, Land, or Owner Relations experience (upstream oil & gas)

    • Strong understanding of:

    o Oil & gas title concepts

    o Net revenue and working interest calculations

    • Experience with oil & gas accounting systems (e.g., Quorum, Enertia, Excalibur, PDS)


    Preferred Skills & Competencies

    • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills

    • Ability to interpret legal documents and title opinions

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Proficiency with Excel (formulas, lookups, reconciliations)

    • Ability to manage high volumes of data and meet deadlines

    • Collaborative mindset with Land, Accounting, Legal, and Owner Relations teams
