Responsibilities: • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications: • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) Compensation: $125 - $200 hourly
