The Social Media Associate performs any of the following duties in support of Dixie Belle Paint Company’s social media outreach and marketing efforts:
Essential Functions
Create and maintain a social media marketing plan
Answers inquiries online via social media platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and others
Optimize content on all channels to create a more engaging environment
Generate, edit, and publish content daily
Share content, and look for other opportunities to share/publish items of interest
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing appropriate data, and act on the information accordingly

Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Knowledge of online marketing, and major marketing channels
Ability to stay current on social media trends
Knowledge of proper grammar and spelling
Presentation skills both in preparation of material, and presentation of material in person and online

Ability to collaborate with staff, and others on projects
Ability to convey values and support the reputation of the company
Multitasking and ability to prioritize assignments
Ability to creatively generate content and material, create blogs, and other interactive experiences
Ability to work independently without constant or direct supervision
Must maintain confidentiality regarding materials and processes in production and preparation of all products.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Position is primarily sedentary administrative work. Must be able to occasionally bend, lift, twist, reach, squat, and carry boxes to fill customer orders, or assist others with related tasks, or office supplies such as boxes of copy paper with the aid of carts, dollies, or other related resources.
Minimum Requirements
Proven work experience in social media marketing. Must be able to communicate using verbal, written and hearing abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
