    About your Role:

    A Therapist – Part-Time provides direct service and related duties to clients, such as individual counseling, family counseling, crisis intervention, and psycho-educational groups, through the use of proper therapeutic interventions. Provides clients with training and support to create a therapeutic milieu.

    Collects data for psychosocial assessment and renders a diagnosis consistent with DSM-4 criteria.

    Prepares an individual treatment plan to address all signs and symptoms in a manner that will increase the effectiveness of daily functioning and decrease recidivism.

    Leads individual and family therapeutic sessions and interventions as outlined in the treatment plan.

    Provides on-call services to clients up to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

    Completes all required documentation as specified by agency policy.

    Attends weekly individual supervision and comes prepared to discuss caseload.

    Attends all group consultations and makes presentations as assigned; works with team of Therapists, Case managers, and supervisors to create, personalize, and update all treatment plans, assuring that all plans meet agency policy, state licensing regulations, and (where applicable) requirements of the accrediting body, in a timely manner.

    Attends all required training as scheduled.

    Works with client to plan for discharge and follow-up recommendations.

    Participates in collaborative treatment planning and coordination meetings for all clients, including those involving schools, other providers, and parents.

    Participates in court-related issues for the caseload.

    May participate in compliance-related activities, such as chart audits for peers and reviewing progress notes for content.

    Trains and mentors new employees as requested by Clinical Manager.

    Does the Following Apply to You?

    Licensed independent practitioner in mental health field preferred (LCSW, LMFT or LPC)

    1-2 years experience in the mental health area

    Direct workers under this standard must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

    a) Master’s or Doctorate degree with a current license issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Boardb) Master’s degree with a temporary permit issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board

    c) Master’s degree in a related human service field and employed by an organization that is nationally accredited by the Joint Commission, Council on Accreditation or the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. That individual must also complete a minimum of 24 post-secondary semester hours or 36 quarter hours in the following coursework: a. Human Growth & Development

    b. Social & Cultural Foundations c. Group Dynamics, Processes, Counseling and Consultation

    d. Lifestyle and Career Development e. Sexuality f. Gender and Sexual Orientation g. Issues of Ethnicity, Race, Status & Culture h. Therapy Techniques i. Family Development & Family Therapy j. Clinical/Psychiatric Social Work k. Group Therapy l. Psychotherapy m. Counseling Theory & Practice
