    We are a dynamic and expanding international company and the U.S.-based arm of the Erben-Ermittlung Emrich Group, a leading German probate research firm. Our mission is to locate unknown heirs and reunite them with their rightful inheritances in the U.S., Germany, and beyond.

    The Role: Document Specialist

    As a Document Specialist, you will be a key player in preparing and managing legal documentation related to kinship and probate proceedings. You’ll collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, and researchers to ensure every case meets legal requirements and progresses smoothly through the estate administration process.

    What You’ll Do

    Kinship Case Preparation

    Interpret intestacy and probate statutes across multiple U.S. states

    Draft legal documents and adjust genealogical family trees for court filings

    Identify information gaps and coordinate with researchers to resolve them

    Serve as the main contact for the company’s external kinship attorneys

    Relationship Documentation

    Order birth, marriage, and death certificates from relevant agencies

    Clarify complex succession lines involving deceased heirs

    Client Interaction

    Provide updates to clients on the status of legal proceedings

    Collect, organize, and manage client-provided documents and authorizations

    File and Record Management

    Maintain accurate records in our internal database

    Prepare case files for attorney review

    Upload and transmit documentation securely through internal systems

    What We’re Looking For

    Experience as a paralegal or legal secretary

    Solid understanding of legal document preparation and probate law

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Strong verbal and written communication abilities

    Comfort working with legal databases and e-filing systems

    Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines

    Salary range: $50,000–$60,658, based on experience and qualifications
