This role translates complex technical information into clear, audience-ready documentation that supports system users, IT teams, and stakeholders throughout the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain IT documentation, translating technical or complex information into clear, concise materials for target audiences
- Partner with Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Support teams to produce instructional materials, technical manuals, and product documentation
- Interview subject matter experts to gather content and identify documentation gaps
- Edit, proofread, and maintain documentation libraries and related publications
- Coordinate special documentation services and projects as needed
- Contribute to moderately complex to complex document management projects as part of a project team
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior documentation staff as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of business or technical writing experience
- Working knowledge of multiple software and graphics packages
- At least 1 year of Salesforce experience within the last 5 years
- Strong editing, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting a state or federal government IT implementation
- Experience documenting healthcare, Medicaid, or human services systems
- Familiarity with Salesforce documentation standards, knowledge base tools, or content management systems
