    POSITION OVERVIEW/SUMMARY

    The Financial Advisor is responsible for delivering excellent client service. This role will be focused on service and financial planning for an existing group of clients and is not sales oriented. The Financial Advisor will be responsible for directly delivering advice, preparing agendas for client meetings, documenting follow-up items and executing on those follow up items. They are also responsible for responding to client requests for information, and overseeing routine account management like rebalances, money movement and tax reporting. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively communicate with affluent clients, be detail oriented and have strong client relationship management and presentation skills.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Communicating investment strategies, retirement planning, asset allocation on managed portfolios, portfolio reviews, basic trust and estate issues and wealth planning opportunities
    • Prepare financial plans that address client's income needs, family situation and retirement plans
    • Independently run client meetings and direct meeting preparation by operational support staff
    • Establish long term, trust-based relationships with clients
    • Follow up with clients in an efficient, timely manner
    • Oversee client communication, agendas, recaps and recommendations
    • Proactively communicate with operations staff regarding work in progress

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • At least 3 years of experience in client-facing role (Financial Advisor, Associate Advisor or other)

    • BA/BS degree required, with coursework in financial planning and investment management highly preferred

    • Hold one or more of the following designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

    • Series 7/66 and Life/Health highly preferred

    • You must be comfortable working in a performance- based career

    • Strong understanding of investment business/products/services

    • Excellent follow-up and follow-through capabilities

    • Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance

    • Able to work independently with good problem solving and time management skills

    • High degree of confidentiality and discretion regarding client information

    • If not previously held, interested in pursuing the CFP™ designation

    • Must be an above average communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills

    SALARY AND BENEFITS

    • Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
    • Bonus Program up to 40% of Salary
