    Pay Range: $16.50 - $19.00/hour (Based on prior experience)

    Job Summary

    Are you obsessed with dogs? Camp Bow Wow is looking for energetic, dedicated, and hardworking Kennel Attendants / Camp Counselors to join our team! In this role, you aren't just "playing with dogs"—you are the ultimate guardian of their safety, health, and happiness. You will be responsible for supervising large groups of dogs in an open-play environment, maintaining an incredibly clean facility, and providing top-notch care to our furry campers.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Play Yard Supervision: Actively monitor and manage indoor/outdoor play yards of up to 25 dogs. Recognize and evaluate dog behavior, body language, and signs of aggression to prevent altercations and maintain a safe, fun environment.

    Health & Wellness Checks: Conduct regular health checks on campers throughout the day. Monitor for any signs of illness, distress, or injury and report them immediately to management.

    Deep Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a highly sanitary environment. Duties include scooping waste, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing cabins (kennels), washing play equipment, and taking out the trash.

    Dog Care & Feeding: Prepare dog meals according to specific pet parent instructions, dispense medications accurately, and maintain detailed food/medication logs.

    Basic Grooming: if you are comfortable to perform dog washes (baths), nail trims, brush-outs, and other basic grooming tasks to ensure dogs go home clean and fresh.

    Front-of-House Support: Assist with checking dogs in and out, running dogs to and from the lobby, greeting pet parents with a friendly attitude, and maintaining standard customer service expectations.

    Job Requirements & Qualifications

    Prior work experience with dogs (not your own) is required

    Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old , authorized to work in United states, have social security and valid state issued ID

    Passion for Pets: A genuine love for dogs is a must! You must be comfortable working with all breeds, shapes, and sizes, showing no fear when managing a large pack.

    Physical Stamina: This is an athletic, physically demanding role. You must be able to stand, walk, and stay active on your feet for your entire 4 to 8-hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (such as large dog food bags or supplies) and maintain balance around excited, crowding dogs.

    Availability: Must have a flexible schedule. Because the dogs need care year-round, weekends Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays are required (we work when pet parents are on vacation!).

    Team Mindset: Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a positive, upbeat attitude are essential. You must be open to constructive feedback and training.

    First Aid and CPR for dogs is required with in 60 days of hiring

    Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard background check.

    Prior dog care or personal pet ownership experience is highly preferred—we will train the right candidate!
