About the Role:

The Canine Corner LLC is looking for an energetic and passionate Dog Daycare Handler/Walker. NO SEASONAL WORKERS, we're looking for career-orientated individuals with a minimum one-year employment interest. This is the perfect opportunity for an animal lover who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment and wants to make tails wag every single day.

The Positions: SHIFT 1: We are looking to fill a "Catch-All" position from 7am-2pm on Mondays IN ADDITION TO 12:30pm-8pm Tuesday - Friday. You may be called onto walk dogs in the neighborhood or fill in for absent peers during the shift times listed. SHIFT 2: We are ALSO looking to fill a Monday-Friday 2pm-8pm Pen Handler position. Training hours will vary, and are a minimum of 20 work-days. Paid training and pay increase after training is complete.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage with dogs of all sizes and breeds

Conduct individual and group dog walks throughout the Brooklyn area

Monitor dog behavior and intervene appropriately to ensure a safe environment

Feed, water, and administer basic care to dogs as needed throughout the day

Maintain cleanliness of play areas, kennels, and common spaces

Communicate daily updates and observations to your fellow peers

Assist in greeting and handing dogs off to their pet parents professionally

Requirements:

Genuine love for dogs

Ability to read and respond to dog body language and behavior cues

Physical stamina to stand, walk, and stay active throughout an entire shift

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in all weather conditions

Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor with clients and peers

Must be comfortable working with large breeds and high-energy dogs

Weekend availability is a plus!
