    K9s Place is a Dog Training, Boarding, Daycare, and Grooming Facility in Melbourne, FL dedicated to providing exceptional care for every animal that comes through our doors. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, safe, and compassionate environment for pets and their owners.

    Position Overview

    We’re seeking a dedicated, hands-on Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our animal care facility. The ideal candidate is an experienced animal care professional with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills who can ensure our animals receive the highest level of care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise kennel staff and oversee performance.

    Ensure all animals are cared for according to company policies and welfare standards.

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility.

    Manage feeding, exercise, grooming, and medication schedules.

    Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management.

    Assist with hiring/training new team members.

    Maintain accurate records (intake, incident reports, etc.).

    Oversee inventory and ordering of food, cleaning supplies, and other materials.

    Enforce safety and sanitation procedures at all times

    Qualifications

    Minimum of 2-3 year of experience in animal care, kennel management, or a related field.

    Strong leadership and team management skills.

    Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

    Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and welfare practices.

    Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

    Physically able to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand/walk for extended periods.

    Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.

    Preferred:

    Certification in animal care or management.

    Experience with scheduling software or kennel management systems.
