Ideal candidate is an animal lover whose passion is grooming dogs. Each groomer at The Pet Wash has their own private room with a grooming table, tub, towels, dryer and shampoos.

Job Summary

We are searching for an experienced Dog Groomer to join the team at The Pet Wash. As a Dog Groomer, you will do breed-specific standards, comfort cuts, and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for dogs, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Brush and detangle or remove matted fur

Bathe dogs and dry coat

Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests

Examine for parasites or other skin conditions

Trim nails

Ensure the safety of dogs at all times

Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

Communicate effectively and compassionately with dog owners

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dog groomer

Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 50 pounds

Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education

Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners

Strong attention to detail
