Dog Groomer Job Summary

We are seeking a Dog Groomer to take on various grooming duties in our pet salon. In this position, you will be responsible for bathing the dogs and styling their fur, whether to the specifications of the owner or breed standards. You must keep the dogs calm throughout the grooming process, so you should be comfortable around animals and have several years of pet care experience. We prefer that you already have several years of experience as a groomer. The job is commission based at 50%.

Dog Groomer Duties and Responsibilities

• Intake of each customer's dog
• Bathe the dog and comb out their fur
• Cut and style the dog's fur
• Trim toenails
• Keep the dog calm during the process

Dog Groomer Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Animal care experience (required)
• Grooming experience (preferred)
• Strong customer service skills
• Passion for working with dogs
