Role Description
This is a part-time on-site/travel role for a Dog Trainer located in CT. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting one-on-one and group training sessions, designing personalized training plans, and ensuring the well-being of the dogs under your supervision. You will also communicate effectively with dog owners, provide guidance and tips for maintaining training routines at home, and support the ongoing development of positive pet behavior. Maintaining a safe and engaging environment for both pets and their owners will be key aspects of your daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Dog Training and Animal Behavior understanding
Experience in Pet Care and ensuring animal well-being
Excellent Customer Service and communication abilities
Experience or certification in Training and education methods for animals
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with dogs and their owners
Physical stamina and comfort working with animals of varying sizes and temperaments
Previous professional experience in animal handling or a related field is a plus
Certifications are preferred but not required
