We are a trusted pet care company serving our community since 2014, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team.

The ideal candidate has a genuine love for animals and takes pride in providing exceptional care while ensuring each dog’s safety and well-being during every walk. This role requires strong dog-handling skills, reliability, excellent customer service, and the ability to confidently manage 1–2 dogs at a time.

Requirements

Reliable car, driver’s license, insurance

Smartphone (iOS/Android)

Pass background check

Consistent 5 days/week availability

Great with dogs of all sizes/temperaments (All our dogs are friendly)

Comfortable walking 4–5 miles per day across multiple short walks, in all weather

Punctual, trustworthy, and a clear communicator

Live close to covered areas (Berwyn, Riverside, Oak Park, Cicero, Brookfield, Lagrange, Lyons)

Communicate fluidly in english language (write and speak)

Duties

Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.

Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to the owner.

Maintain a positive relationship with pet owners through effective communication and daily updates on their pets' activities.

Ensure proper handling techniques are used to manage different breeds and temperaments.

Assist with pet sitting duties as needed, including feeding when needed.

Maintain cleanliness of walking equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.

Schedule

Core hours Mon–Fri, 9am–3pm (Evenings/weekends/holidays are optional, depending on demand and availability)

We route in 2–3 nearby ZIPs to cut driving

Experience

Previous experience in dog handling is preferred; however, we provide comprehensive one-week training to ensure you feel confident and prepared for the role.

Experience in pet sitting or animal care roles will be beneficial for understanding pet needs.

Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and kennel experience is advantageous.

Customer service experience is essential for building rapport with pet owners.
