Job Summary

We are seeking Pet Care Specialist to join our team. The Pet Care Specialist supports daily pet care operations by maintaining promptness, following care instructions, and ensuring animals are healthy, safe, and properly cared for. You will caring for animals - particularly dogs and cats - in their homes with responsibilities including, but not limited to - getting dogs from their homes, getting them ready, and taking them for a walk on a pre -specified route, for a designated amount of time. You will be responsible for keeping all pets safe during your time and complete job duties such as cleaning up after them, feeding, and ensuring they are having a great time while being safe. The ideal candidate has experience working with animals of many sizes, species, breeds, and temperaments, can work outside in a variety of temperatures and seasons, and has excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Greet dogs, get them ready, and ensure they are properly dressed (harness, collar, etc) and safely secured

Walk dogs for the designated time over the set route

Clean up after any animals in your care

Feeding and giving water to the animals as directed

Use common sense and best animal care practices to ensure pets are safe and healthy while in your care

Qualifications

Experience working with dogs of multiple breeds and sizes desired

Experience with other animals a plus

Excellent communication and customer service skills

The ability to walk several miles each day in a variety of weather conditions

Basic knowledge of animal safety

Ability to follow written and oral instructions from clients and management staff

Own car required for work

Attention to detail

Hourly Rate: 20.00
