Dogtopia District Manager
Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services, is in search of an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to lead our team as District Manager. This is a role for someone with Multi Unit Management and an Operations background who understands hard work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and a great team culture as well as ensuring a great, safe environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs- and, upon successful completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you!
The District Manager
The District Manager works closely with the Store General Managers to execute the annual unit business plan.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the success of the day to day operations, systems and tools to drive operational excellence, efficiency, consistency and profitability in their area.
The District Manager Role
Deliver aggregate and store level annual comp growth targets
Maximize sales and profitability in the region
Ensure quality consistency across the region
Foster on-going relationships to drive influence
Analyze daily & weekly report metrics for trends and opportunities
Build a comprehensive communication system and cadence with store personnel and Store General Managers to ensure efficient and effective messaging utilizing all platforms and communication vehicles
Conduct monthly P&L’s reviews and assist in performing monthly and quarterly financial analysis
Build and execute a Daily / Weekly Frequency for Store visits schedule, reviewing front of house and back of house operations and creating a hands on, lead by example apporach with the teams.
Provide ongoing training and development for staff
Hands on approach with Back of House and Front of House Operations alongside the team.
Drive engagement and buy-in of initiatives at the store level
Recruiting, Interviewing and hiring for the open positions on your team
Fill in and create strategic methods when open positions come up in your district to ensure the store is running efficiently at all times
Team Management
Monitors staffing schedules for effectie operations while maintaing payroll budgets.
Maintains a positive culture of development with all employees
Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture.
Delivers written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement when due
Help coach the General Managers and Assistant Managers on Dogtopia mission as well as consitent leadership development.
Ensure each employee has the correct amount of training
Clean and Safe Environment to ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment we take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete
Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards.
Dismisses dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and monitors action plans to retain those with minor issues.
Financial and Administrative
Develops team in memenrship sales, up-selling and using strategic tecniques to grow revenue.
Maintains controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively look for ways to maximize efficiency.
Communicates any concerns or needs to COO proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issues.
Customer Service and Presentation
Help all locations maintain a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times. This includes holding team to professional clean dress.
Sets the example for the team on the 3 Ss (smile, story and satisfaction) and hold accountable to internal and external customer service standards.
Keeps the team members engaged in their duties.
