    Job Description

    ** Summary Of Position:**

    The Supply Chain Specialist reports to the Head of Supply Management for North America. This individual is responsible for supporting Area and Regional Management with strategic decision-making related to product portfolio and supply chain management by providing analytical and statistical data using our Doka in-house inventory management and Point of Sale software systems. This individual will review and provide strategies to define the optimal product mix and stock levels within the supply area to ensure material resources for our customers while optimizing the supply network. The Supply Chain Specialist will implement strategic measures regarding project specific and slow-moving items to coordinate appropriate material movements and transactions. This individual will exercise their expertise and knowledge with respect to stock development, product strategy, and material forecasting while ensuring compliance with all company guidelines and governing regulations.

    ** Responsibilities:**

    • Support and promote product strategy realization.
    • Monitor product development within the supply area to ensure the correct product mix and stock levels are available for distribution.
    • Work with Product and Area Management to help define and develop product portfolio for each supply location using our product portfolio management tools.
    • Review and support supply areas to define Safety Stock Levels and Inventory Reserve Levels
    • Analyze material provision lists quarterly to determine best course of action to reduce slow moving and high-rise inventory support exit strategy procedures.
    • Strategize and coordinate material movements of Centralized Items (H+M, Climbing, Girder, etc.) throughout the supply circle.
    • Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure product demand forecasts are provided and material is purchased in accordance to market requirements.
    • Evaluate weekly container forecasts from HQ and strategically order additional material to fill out necessary space to ensure material moves in a timely manner.
    • Develop stock optimization concepts in accordance with Doka strategic direction.
    • Facilitate regional and global material exchange (intercompany).

    ** Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions:**

    • Actively participate in management meetings as required.
    • Perform other tasks/projects as assigned, such as participating in company committees/teams.
    • Travel to branch offices within supply circle to assist with material management and work flow.
    • Provide training of proprietary intercompany software data systems (PointOut Operations, RapidResponse, Discos II, etc.).
    • Conduct audits and enforce the continuous improvement process (CIP).

    ** Qualifications/Technical Proficiency**

    • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience with Supply Chain or within a related area.
    • Must be analytical and possess strong numeric aptitude.
    • Possess a dynamic and independent attitude with strong leadership skills to achieve results with minimal supervision.
    • Able to work effectively in a team and achieve desired objectives.
    • Must possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Work effectively in a complex, result-driven environment requiring strong decision-making skills.
    • Proficient business know-how and product knowledge (cost calculation, company accounts, inventory valuation, order processing, inventory and data management systems).
    • Substantial working knowledge of warehouse logistics, processes, and policies (material/yard/ transport logistics)
    • Excellent command of English required (Speaking, reading, writing).
    • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
    • Experience with material tracking systems such as Pointout and proprietary order processing systems similar to Discos II is a plus.
