    Job Description

    ** Summary Of Position**

    The Distribution Center Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Distribution Center Commercial Office Manager and is responsible for supporting DC Operations with the organization of all in and outbound movements, while balancing daily stock, and performing cycle counts. The Logistics Coordinator provides expertise / knowledge with respect to processing material transactions, product strategy, proper documentation flow and transport logistics, ensuring compliance with all company guidelines and governing regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintaining an In and Outbound schedule in communication with the Commercial Office and Yard Team
    • Processing Inbound Proof of Delivery
    • Responsible for daily processing of outbound orders and the communication of stock availability to fulfill orders to subsidiaries.
    • Communication of material availability and truck level fulfillment to optimize load capacities in collaboration with subsidiaries.
    • Obtain freight quotes and assign transportation to vendors using in-house transport order management system.
    • Collaboration with yard operations to assure a smooth execution of physical movements of material into and out of the distribution center.
    • Continuous review, report and improvement to optimized logistics cost.
    • Support all reconditioning administration in partnership with yard operations through daily interaction with yard staff, truck drivers, and Doka management.
    • Administration of inbound and outbound bill of ladings, invoicing and commercial documentation including cost allocation.
    • Continually tracks and monitors DC inventory using the in-house order processing system assuring inventory levels are properly aligned with physical stock.
    • Ensure sales order and purchase order dates are reviewed and updated regularly to guarantee data quality.

    ** Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions**

    • Other duties/projects as assigned; including participating in company committees/teams.
    • Assists in ensuring safe working practices and a safe working environment.
    • Complies with all corporate policies and business practices.
    • Process audits and enforces the continuous improvement process (CIP)
    • Identifies inventory discrepancies and notifies the DC team of all discrepancies using the proprietary software system in a timely manner.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Entry Level Position
    • 1-3 years of experience in clerical, administration, or warehouse tasking preferred.
    • Facilitates projects and effectively manages multiple tasks.
    • Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing). Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
    • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills possess strong numeric aptitude, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
    • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications; Excel required.
    • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
    • Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques.
    • Able to work as an organized team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
    • Open-minded towards different cultural groups
    • Awareness of responsibility and identification with function, team, employees and targets

    ** Working Conditions**

    Position will be office based, with daily exposure to shipping yard environment, to coordinate material transactions throughout the DC. Light lifting and long periods of standing are typical.
