  • Responsibilities

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

    The Project Management Analyst is responsible for tracking the project management lifecycle from initiation to closure for Dole plant projects. Projects will be related to process automation, process improvement, engineering, construction, and technology expansion/implementation.

    Required Skills

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

    • Responsible for identifying necessary Dole project stakeholders and external resources to determine project scope, feasibility, and cost.
    • Responsible for creating project plans, timelines, schedules, activities, risks, and ultimately, a Statement of Work (SOW) for leadership to evaluate and approve projects.
    • Responsible for facilitating successful project kick-off meetings and ensures everyone knows their role on the project team.
    • Reviews and monitors project progress, expense vs. budget, and timelines to drive projects forward.
    • Responsible for managing project risks and issues. Ensures work is being completed according to agreed upon standards and schedules.
    • Periodically presents project statuses to plant and executive leadership. Provides ad-hoc reporting related to project management at the request of leadership.
    • Responsible for project close out to review the entire project and document learnings to improve future projects.
    • Responsible for managing small construction projects to expand network capabilities to vacant facilities.

    Required Experience

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)

    • 0-2 years’ experience with exposure to project management.
    • Excellent critical thinking skills required.
    • Ability to think outside the box and ability to think in the abstract required.
    • Excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities required.
    • Experience presenting to groups, a positive attitude, and high motivation drive desired.

    INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS

    Internal: Engineering, Production employees, Plant Leadership, IT, Finance, HR.

    External: Third party contractors, service providers, and suppliers.

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s required in a STEM related field
    • PMP certification highly desired

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 40 pounds. Will have limited exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Able to occasionally work in a cold environment (35* on Plant floor).

    WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT

    Ability to work beyond regular business hours occasionally as needed.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
