    THIS ROLE IS WITH THE DOLE FRESH VEGETABLES (DFV) DIVISION.  DFV WILL PROVIDE INTERNAL CANDIDATES PRIORITY AND CONSIDERATION OF THEIR SUCCESS IN EXISTING AND PRIOR ROLES AS VALID EXPERIENCE.

     

     

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

    Position manages contract development for the Dole Value Added Salads business unit and reports to the Director of Finance for Sales and Marketing.  The position partners with Sales to structure proposals and plays a critical role in the profitability of the division.

    Required Skills

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

    • Manage the development of financial proformas for new and renewing sales contracts and RFP execution
    • Analyze proformas for financial impact: special pricing, margin analysis, scenario analysis and deal structuring for revenue and gross margin
    • Ensure compliance with sales and business approval policies
    • Perform analyses on the actual versus planned performance for customers
    • Help identify and develop strategies to optimize customer profitability
    • Manage final contract drafts and proper authorizations
    • Train sales staff on planning tools
    • Initiate and manage enhancements to planning applications and pricing in the sales order system
    • Perform ad hoc reporting and analyses as requested by department executives
    • Implement new department processes
    • Motivate and supervise the performance of direct reports
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)

    • 5-7 years of senior level financial analysis experience in a fast-paced consumer goods environment; supervisory experience desired
    • Experience supporting a diverse sales organization
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks and manage time well
    • Flexibility to adapt to constant change, detail oriented, thorough, and responsive
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics and Cognos, or equivalent, preferred.
    • Strong data analytical skills with the ability to provide creative solutions. Initiative to resolve and research problems
    • Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS

    • Internal interaction takes place with all areas of the company, from subordinates to Senior Staff and Operational Directors and Vice Presidents.

     EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

    • B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred.
