  • Responsibilities

     

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

     

    Position manages contract development for the Dole Value Added Salads business unit and reports to the Director of Finance for Sales and Marketing.  The position plays a critical role in the profitability of the division.

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

     

    • Manage the development of financial proformas for new and renewing sales contracts
    • Perform analyses on the actual versus planned performance for large customers
    • Help identify and develop strategies to optimize customer profitability
    • Manage final contract drafts and proper authorizations
    • Train sales staff on planning tools
    • Work with IT department on enhancements in planning tools
    • Lead the development and analysis of annual budgets for sales volume and revenue
    • Perform ad hoc reporting and analyses as requested by department executives
    • Implement new department processes
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

     

    SKILLS:

     

    • Experience supporting a diverse sales organization
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics and Cognos, or equivalent, preferred.
    • Strong data analytical skills with the ability to provide creative solutions. Initiative to resolve and research problems
    • Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

     

    Required Experience

     

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

     

    • 4-7 years of financial analysis experience in a fast-paced consumer goods environment; supervisory experience desired
    • B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred.
