GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Position manages contract development for the Dole Value Added Salads business unit and reports to the Director of Finance for Sales and Marketing. The position plays a critical role in the profitability of the division.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Manage the development of financial proformas for new and renewing sales contracts
- Perform analyses on the actual versus planned performance for large customers
- Help identify and develop strategies to optimize customer profitability
- Manage final contract drafts and proper authorizations
- Train sales staff on planning tools
- Work with IT department on enhancements in planning tools
- Lead the development and analysis of annual budgets for sales volume and revenue
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analyses as requested by department executives
- Implement new department processes
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
SKILLS:
- Experience supporting a diverse sales organization
- Strong organizational skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with IBM Planning Analytics and Cognos, or equivalent, preferred.
- Strong data analytical skills with the ability to provide creative solutions. Initiative to resolve and research problems
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to assume new responsibilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- 4-7 years of financial analysis experience in a fast-paced consumer goods environment; supervisory experience desired
- B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred.
