We are seeking a UTILITY LOCATOR/SUE SPECIALIST II to support our Subsurface Utility Group based in our LANCASTER, PA office.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform private utility locates and utility mapping projects (SUE Quality Level B) utilizing a variety of shallow geophysical techniques (EM, GPR, RF, Metal detecting etc.)
• Perform leak detection surveys
• Contractor coordination and oversight; perform test hole investigations (SUE Quality Level A)
• Perform storm and sanitary utility inspections
• Survey utility locations
• Daily verbal, written and email communication with staff and RETTEW project manager
• Preparation of daily field reports
• Completion of inspection forms
• Evaluation of utility mapping

 REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of utility locating experience; but willing to train the right candidate
• Experience utilizing GPS equipment
• Basic skills in precision utility locating field techniques, utility mapping and concrete scanning (EM, metal detecting, GPR, etc.)
• Expertise with CCTV pipe inspection and software a plus
• Strong desire for an extended career in utility locating and SUE
• Self motivated with excellent speaking and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic; ability to work overtime when required
• Willingness to travel; frequent overnight travel
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training a desired

SKILLS:

• Experienced in produce, perishable or short shelf life supply chains preferred
• Demonstrated abilities to work within a cross functional, matrixed organization
• Strong and proven supplier management proficiencies
• Strategic and tactical supplier sourcing and procurement with a foundation in a multi-modal, temperature control/dry, domestic and international supply chain
• Budget development, cost and performance management expertise to drive results to meet company and department financial goals and objectives
• Plant/manufacturing logistics experience in a food, consumer supply chain is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge in Cold Chain and temperature control transportation in a consumer food channel highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with safety practices and methods, supply chain food safety, and quality management systems and methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, leadership, team building and analytical skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel and/or other spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of logistics, shipping/receiving procedures, inventory control, and least cost load-building models.
• Must have the ability to make quick decisions and work under short timelines.
• Strong in multi-tasking and being a change agent for the business.
• Flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticism.
