    1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

    The Procurement Replenishment Analyst is responsible utilizing MRP and inventory tools to provide reporting and analytical support to the Director of Procurement as it relates to replenishment analysis. The role will assist with identifying and resolving reporting discrepancies related to film replenishment.  

    Required Skills

    1. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
    • Ensures replenishment and cost saving opportunities for four Value Added Plant production locations on one of the highest packaging spend items, film.
    • Conducts analysis using Inventory Turns, Order Frequency, Fill Rates, and other factors to identify opportunities with supplier performance.
    • Reviews inventory levels and production requirements, to execute a replenishment strategy that takes into consideration order lead-times.
    • Mitigates negative financial impacts relating to under and over inventory and obsolescence.
    • Participates in the continuous improvement of replenishment and procurement resource planning tools
    • Supports DFV internal stakeholders (plant locations, Finance, Innovation, and Logistics) by coordinating plant replenishment with vendors.
    • Contribute to product lifecycle management activities impacting plant under the direction of procurement from new/changed product introductions through end-of-life utilizing analysis and minimizing obsolescence
    • Provides training on MRP reporting tools to other reporting users. Partners with IT to learn system and gain knowledge useful to using the tools to their fullest extent.
    • Works with all departments to respond to replenishment questions and concerns internally and externally.
    • Identifies demand/capacity constraints with suppliers to reduce negative impact to production.
    • Strives to minimize waste, eliminate “expediting” of materials, and ensures compliance with FSQA, Safe Quality Foods (FQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    Required Experience

    1. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)
    • 1-3 years’ experience utilizing analytical skills that would contribute to the development and execution of a replenishment tool integrating inventory strategy and demand/production forecasts.
    • Experience analyzing multiple sources and types of data and ability to communicate findings required.
    • Ability to think critically and anticipate business challenges required.
    • Experience with fresh, perishable products, and/or in a food processing environment or packaging, is preferred
    • Experience with JDE preferred.

    Internal: Procurement, Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Transportation, Finance, Replenishment, Dole Business Services, IT, and Warehouse.

    External: Suppliers, Vendors, Customer Service

    1. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
    • Associate’s degree in business, analytics, supply chain/logistics, or commensurable experience in a related field
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, supply chain/logistics preferred
