GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The AS/RS (automated storage and retrieval system) Operator supports the operation of an automated material handling system, minimizing downtime, database and inventory management, error correction/reporting, disaster recovery, software/hardware and operations support in a fast-paced environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- The AS/RS Operator is responsible for the continuous and efficient operation of the automated storage and retrieval system.
- This position monitors, oversees, and supervises the accurate and effective flow of all pallet movements using a graphical interface.
- Assists with inventory management
- Product assigning to complete orders
- Effectively present information to various people as the job requires
- Occasionally, Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates automated storage/retrieval systems and its ancillary equipment including storage/retrieval vehicles, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, stops and transfers, and air compressors.
- Follow all Food Safety Requirements and cGMPs as applicable to position.
- Additional duties as assigned including all aspects of cooler operations.

PHYSIC _ AL REQUIREMENTS:_
- Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. At times you will spend some time outdoors in the receiving area, refrigerated (cold), loud (ear protection required) work environment.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Occasionally will work in temperatures of 33-to-37-degree temp for unknown amounts of time.
- Lift 25-45lbs, walk, stoop, bend, for unknown amounts of time, and maneuver safely in a variety of traction and footing challenges.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires working some Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and nights.
Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
- Degree/training certificates in a related field preferred but not required.
PAY RATE: $24.93
