FSQA Non-Vegetable Supplier Program Specialist
THIS ROLE IS WITH THE DOLE FRESH VEGETABLES (DFV) DIVISION. DFV WILL PROVIDE INTERNAL CANDIDATES PRIORITY AND CONSIDERATION OF THEIR SUCCESS IN EXISTING AND PRIOR ROLES AS VALID EXPERIENCE.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
The FSQA Non-Vegetable Supplier Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating and auditing non-vegetable suppliers providing product to the Dole Fresh Vegetables. This includes but is not limited to the following areas: initial approval and annual renewal process for all non-veg suppliers, working with the FSQA Non-Vegetable Supplier Program Manager to assess all non-veg suppliers using a risk-based approach, and conducting on-site audits as needed to ensure suppliers meet all Dole FSQA expectations. This position will support the FSQA Non-Vegetable Supplier Program Manager in the creation and implementation of internal food safety programs for non-veg items, manage and maintain the procedures, leverage data to drive continuous improvement, and manage third party suppliers.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years in food industry; experience in food safety, quality, or technical support in a manufacturing environment. Experience in executing food safety and quality programs or work experience in an organization with strong Food Safety and Quality systems.
SKILLS: Working knowledge of food technology, food processing and microbiology. Strong understanding of GMPs, HARPC, Federal/State food regulations, and audit schemes and ability to conduct food safety audits. Strong computer/statistical skills particularly as related to data collection, manipulation, and reporting. Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong auditing skills. Ability to communicate and work with diverse workforce. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
ADDITIONAL: Must have the ability to make decisions, appear for work on time, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand, and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticism. Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to travel independently.
