    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

    This role supervises the Replenishment Coordinators.  The primary purpose of the team is to meet or exceed key service level performance indicators (KPI’s) for Key Dole Fresh Vegetable (DFV) business updates by collaborating with procurement, demand planning, warehousing, marketing, finance, sales forecasting, cross-functional business teams, and suppliers.  In addition, the Replenishment Supervisor will execute and build continuous improvement replenish processes, systems and technology with both a short- and long-term mindset for sustainable success. 

    Required Skills

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

    • Supervise 2 Replenishment Coordinators and support the Sr. Materials Manager by helping train and build best practices with other team members.

    Process/Tools:

    • Execute process for replenishment of plant materials utilizing replenishment tool and data analytics, including but not limited to:

      • Translate inventory data and transform it into usable data for on-time replenishment to the plants for all direct materials. Work with a rolling 14-day plant schedule and factoring in category lead times, inventory days on hand strategy).
      • Review all open PO, credit memos, invoice discrepancies entered to ensure the invoicing process flows thru AP according to payment terms. Collaborate with warehousing, A/P, Purchasing teams to find root cause and solutions.
    • Review of and resolution of any Accounts Payable Invoicing and Discrepancies via BPMS system.

    • Research and Resolve Pending Open Credits, quantify recovered credits from vendors.

    • Participate and engage with Procurement Team to communicate status via weekly meetings re: how supplier is performing in the day-to-day tactical execution; raise what is working along with concerns and watch outs.

    • Participate in supplier relationship meetings under the umbrella of the outlined procurement strategy (in accordance with releasing lines from PO/BPO’s).

    • Work with all departments on following up on replenishment questions and concerns.

    • The Replenishment Supervisor will be responsible for both supervising the category(ies) and maintaining supplier relationships.

    • Identify demand constraints with suppliers.

    • Work to improve re-order patterns against demand leading to optimum use of available warehouse spaces (refrigerated vs non-refrigerated).

    • Contribute to product lifecycle management activities impacting plant under the direction of procurement from new/change product introduction through end-of-life. Provide sound analytical support for projects and new business. Support new demand, advertisements, and product launches to ensure inventory is on-hand.

      • New item stocking strategy.
      • Transition (old item) exit strategy.
      • Reviews system generated customer orders for accuracy.

    Ensures priority replenishment orders are handled appropriately. 

    • Function as the Plant Lead for Creative Service (packaging review and approval).
    • Completes strategic review of item replenishment/stock strategies.
    • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

    KPI’s:

    • Monitor Replenishment Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and contribute to Supplier reviews; take proactive steps to ensure goals are met. Execute and implement data, analytics, systems, tools, and technology for core Replenishment Phases, including but not limited to:

    • Contribute to the Replenishment / Supply Review process by providing input and Supplier KPI’s to Procurement on supplier ability to fill working in collaboration with suppliers.

    • Research, identify, and implement department cost saving opportunities.

    • Track fill rate targets established at the Procurement level.

    • Make sure coordinators comply with all order to delivery requirements and supplier rejection policy.

    • Participate as required with Procurement for direct materials RFQ’s and scorecards the selection of suppliers for all products, services, and equipment, the placement of purchase orders, communication, and resolution of quality / service-related issues with incoming supplies and maintaining a cost-effective supply chain.

     

    Required Experience

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)

    • 5+ years’ experience in forecasting, planning, scheduling, procurement, category spend and managing raw and packaging materials in a supervisory role.

    • Experience with fresh, perishable products, and/or in a food processing environment preferred.

    • Strong leadership/supervisory qualities. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

    • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

    • Strong computer skills, including Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

    • Knowledge of material handling procedures, demand planning, forecasting, inventory, procurement, and good manufacturing practices.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and effectively manage constant change.

    • Sound judgment in decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to make solid recommendations and/or decisions by examining and interpreting a wide scope of information and data.

    • Experience in translating business goals and strategies into work flow and processes that support success, anticipate obstacles and develop methods to overcome them;

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Specialties in Supply Chain (APICs or similar), Project Management (PMP), or Lean 6 Sigma are a plus.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 40 pounds. Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Able to work in a cold environment (35* on Plant floor).

    WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT

    • Ability to work beyond regular business hours, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts preferred/required. Flexibility to work varied hours.   
    • Ability to travel.
