    AT DOMESTIKA WE ARE HIRING A VP OF GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS & PR TO BUILD, NURTURE AND LEAD DOMESTIKA'S COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC RELATIONS TEAM. THIS ROLE IS A CRITICAL MEMBER OF THE  EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM.  

    Reporting to the Global Chief Marketing Officer as VP of Global Communications & PR, you will develop and lead our overall communications strategy, inclusive of public relations, media relations, crisis communications, corporate social responsibility and internal communications. You will work in partnership with the Brand, Programming and Commercial teams to communicate Domestika's mission through online and offline channels.

Years later, born from this core value, Domestika widened its reach by designing and producing online courses for all those who want to learn and improve professionally with the best teachers. Domestika has the support of one of the most relevant funds in Silicon Valley.

    The team is distributed across 10 countries. This role will begin remote and the final location is flexible based upon the candidate, although the NY metro area is preferred.

    WHAT DOES A VP, GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS & PR DO AT DOMESTIKA?

    • Develop and lead our overall communications strategy, inclusive of public relations, media relations, crisis communications, corporate social responsibility & internal communications.
    • Identify the right strategies to drive influence and cultural impact with Domestika's key audiences globally. 
    • Deliver earned storytelling strategies connected to culture. Pitch media and identify culturally relevant media targets with a large emphasis on digital and social media. 
    • Foster strong working relationships with consumer, trade and business media (digital/broadcast/print), in the United States and key markets globally. 
    • Lead a robust media relations function, with a focus on delivering exceptional results globally and in market-specific campaigns.
    • Bring forward a rigorous approach and methodology for measuring the impact of PR activities.
    • Build, manage and mentor a high performing internal PR team using a supportive and collaborative approach to growing their capability and championing their work.
    • Work collaboratively with HR and the Executive Team on internal communications designed to bring message cohesion to a fast-growing, multi-lingual, global workforce. 
    • Partner with HR on internal and externally facing D&I communication initiatives to ensure that inclusion is considered and integrated.
    • Proactively help the company prepare to manage through an external crisis through creation of a communications playbook that anticipates and prepares for various scenarios while having a process to effectively marshal resources to react in real time as situations arise.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 15+ years of experience in B2C communications or PR.
    • 10+ years of people leadership, with the demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain top talent globally.
    • Experience in a VC-backed, global tech company.
    • Media results that spotlight your ability to deliver outstanding media coverage.
    • Exceptional writer and dynamic speaker.
    • Ability to create compelling, data-driven stories and campaigns that showcase trends. 
    • Experience in developing and implementing new communications/positioning strategies in both trade and consumer environments. 
    • Fluency in digital media including an understanding of social media, video distribution strategies and SEO.
    • A persuasive influencer who has the ability to build consensus and momentum.
    • Can create clarity and design a game plan with incomplete data and in times of uncertainty.
    • Intimate knowledge of creative, art & design communities as well as the tech & VC space.
    • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
    • Native or near-native English in written and oral communications. Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
