  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • (40%) Prepare and analyze financial statements, process all related journal entries to close each financial period for Supply Chain Centers and / or Team USA Stores
    • Perform review at mid-period and final stages of the period closing cycle
    • Communicate with internal customers on outstanding accounting issues, problems, or concerns
    • Provide internal customers with general ledgers and financial summaries upon close of the financial period
    • Act as a resource to internal customers on financial statements
    • Review and analyze Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash, Inventory and Payroll activity
    • Ensure statements are timely and accurate and are consistent with DPI and GAAP Standards
    • (25%) Review and analyze key financial data
    • Prepare estimates and reconcile gross profit weekly for the Supply Chain Centers
    • Analyze weekly Team USA sales data
    • Audit weekly Corporate store paperwork
    • Research Team USA sales, food, and labor variances by comparing actual data to Pulse data
    • Use available reporting applications, including PeopleSoft (Finance and HR platforms) and Hyperion Enterprise
    • (25%) Perform various general ledger entries and reconciliations
    • Prepare and review appropriate national journal entries which impact all departments
    • Monitor account activity and notify management of unusual issues
    • Coordinate with other accounting functions such as cash, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable to appropriately enter general ledger entries
    • Prepare and analyze entries for period end accruals, reserves and prepaid accounts
    • Calculate bonuses based on financial results
    • Calculate profit sharing and volume discounts
    • Prepare and analyze balance sheet schedules every period
    • (10%) Special projects as needed
    • Assist internal customers with analysis of financial impact on certain projects
    • Other ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum of 15 credit hours in Accounting classes including Intermediate Accounting
    • Must have sufficient prior work or volunteer experience, 1+ years of work experience preferred
    • Ability to analyze financial information
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
    • Self-Motivated and able to work independently
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database applications
    • PeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion Enterprise experience a plus
