    Job Description

    The Global Payroll & Tax Analyst manages the overall payroll tax compliance in a multi-state and multi-company environment as well as all International payroll & tax compliance.  The Global Payroll & Tax Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of filings and tax deposits as regulated by international, federal, state and local tax authorities as well as timely payments to team members abroad.  This position also provides accounting, budgeting, and project management support to our International, Finance, and Human Resources teams. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (50%)  DOMESTIC PAYROLL TAX & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

    • Prepare, reconcile, fund, and maintain records of weekly and quarterly tax deposits
    • Manage wage adjustments and file W2C, UI, or 941 Amendments as necessary
    • Lead year end payroll project & deliverables (might want to move this)
    • Ensure tax processes are consistent and in compliant with legal requirement and company policies
    • Update Accounting on any changes affecting the accrual of payroll taxes and resolve related issues
    • Lead implementation of  PeopleSoft Tax Updates & routine maintenance
    • Lead Quarter End and Year End reporting processes including W2s, tax filings, reporting and reconciliation of payroll taxes with our external 3 rd party tax vendor and various agencies
    • Create and maintain reports, queries and conduct audits to ensure data integrity and controls
    • Manage team member tax data setup in PeopleSoft & respond to team member issues
    • Lead all projects related to payroll tax compliance
    • Manage Payroll Tax Vendor

    (50%) INTERNATIONAL PAYROLL PROCESSING & TAX COMPLIANCE

    • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery of foreign payroll & tax liabilities

    • Assist Global Mobility & Corporate Tax in all payroll matters

    • Review agreements and requisitions to determine potential tax and payroll liability

    • Owns vendor relationships to drive foreign national payroll processing and ensures accountability

    • Leads Expat payroll, including HYPO tax management, recording allowance changes in PS, and capturing equity payments through payroll

    • Assists with implementation of new payroll vendors in all new international markets

    • Remits as necessary any tax payments as instructed by E&Y or international payroll vendors

    • Maintains E&Y relationship and implements any necessary adjustments to expatriate payroll

    • Leads all Foreign periodic & year-end tax filing processing and responds to inquiries

    • Responsible for communication between Treasury department to ensure timely wire transfers

    • Keeps Unit Manager, International Finance & Global Mobility informed and provides deliverables

    • Leads process improvement efforts to maximize efficiency and accuracy of payroll data

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent experience required
    • Certified Payroll Professional American Payroll Association preferred
    • 2+ years’ experience with the Payroll Tax function preferred
    • 2+ years’ Managing Expat & Foreign National Payroll
    • Experience working with many different vendors
    • Knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
    • PeopleSoft knowledge a plus but not required
    • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
