    POSITION PURPOSE:

    This Accounting Assistant position advances the mission of Lifesong by assisting with Lifesong’s donation processing, communicating effectively with givers, coordinating accounts receivable, and monitoring software developments and/or transitions as it relates to the donation process.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    Assist with Lifesong’s donation processing

    Provide key supervision for gift processing and giver management

    Administer advance systems and processes that prioritize growing Lifesong’s giver base

    Maintain proper documentation and coding of all physical and online donations within Lifesong’s systems and CRM

    Communicate donation information effectively with the team

    Communicate effectively with givers

    Provide strong customer service to givers with inquiries regarding donations

    Provide backup and training for all questions and concerns from givers

    Understand and utilize Lifesong communication tools for serving givers

    Coordinate accounts receivable

    Collaborate regularly with Accounting Staff and other departments

    Attend regular Accounting Staff meetings

    Monitor software developments and/or transitions as it relates to the donation process

    Work with Donor Development and Donations Manager to understand giver requests and expectations

    Monitor how Donation Processing interacts with other teams and suggest new solutions for better collaboration

    Miscellaneous Duties: Performs other duties, as assigned

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    The ability to be sensitive to and aware of intercultural dynamics within diverse teams

    Customer service-oriented mindset for serving a large-scale giver base

    Flexibility and agility to create and discuss new solutions in a growing environment

    High attention to details and accountability in intricate processes

    Ability to prioritize tasks and utilize problem-solving skills

    Excellent written and verbal communication

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Associates Degree with business focus or Bachelors Degree

    1+ years’ experience of accounting or business administration

    Experience in a non-profit setting is preferred

    Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM database is preferred

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment requiring the use of computer and mouse and other standard office equipment

    Employees may be required to travel and have a valid driver’s license and passport

    There are no specific job hazards, PPE, ergonomic concerns (beyond what was listed above), or transport of hazardous material

    Employees may need to lift and move up to 35 lbs. on occasion

    Employees are required to observe safety principles while performing the duties of the position
