    Position Summary

    The Donor Relations Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the relationships between the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and its donors. This position will work closely with and under the direction of the Database Management Administrator and internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate donor records, process and enter gifts, provide essential data support and reporting for fundraising initiatives, accurate communications, acknowledging contributions, and ensuring that stewardship and development efforts are carried out in a timely and accurate manner for the Church of Philadelphia. The role also includes supporting a wide variety of stewardship and fundraising programs under the Archdiocese umbrella and performing essential administrative and clerical duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support multiple giving programs and appeals with gift processing, reporting, and donor communications.
    • Manage donor communications, including generating acknowledgment letters and personalized thank-you notes.
    • Coordinate with the Database Management Administrator to ensure donor information is accurately recorded and maintained.
    • Maintain and organize digital and physical donor files, correspondence, and other records.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance donor engagement and retention.
    • Prepare donor reports on giving history, activity, and stewardship efforts.
    • Respond to donor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Collaborate with members of the Office of Stewardship and Development and other internal stakeholders to support other fundraising campaigns, initiatives, and projects.
    • Assist with the planning and execution of donor recognition events and activities.
    • Maintain confidentiality of donor information and adhere to data protection regulations.
    • Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, document prep, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or similar.
    • Experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related area preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong understanding of fundraising principles, including prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
    • Proficiency with database management software, such as Raisers Edge, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
    • Proficient in Google Docs and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for critical thinking and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
    • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.
    • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church, a deep familiarity with archdiocesan and parish structures, and a thorough understanding of Catholic parish life and ministry.

    Working Conditions

    • This is a full-time position with standard office hours.

    Physical Requirements

    • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or controls, reach with arms, climb stairs, and talk or hear. Must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 lbs.
