    OUR INDUSTRY

    Property management is an industry bogged down by inefficient processes and misaligned incentives that create a poor service experience for owners. Today, technology is decoupled from operational processes, such as scheduling showings, back-and-forth communication and managing repairs. Additionally, property managers overpromise on rental prices to get people to sign and have no consequence for slow tenant placement, while owners have months of vacancy and lost income. These inefficiencies lead property-management incumbents (NPS 8) to have a 43-day vacancy average, much of which is unnecessary. This leads to an $86 billion annual economic waste in the U.S. alone.

    THE ROLE

    As Head of Fulfillment Operations, you will be responsible for building impeccable processes that balance people and technology, and you will be leading a team of project managers, property specialists, workforce specialists and account executives to ensure our rental properties are onboarded efficiently and filled with the best tenants.  We are looking for a leader who is highly collaborative, has experience in real estate, has grit, process-thinking and analytical horsepower, and who is a proven people manager and builder of high-performing teams. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

    • Build and optimize processes and systems to improve Doorstead's fulfillment operations
    • Refine and implement a consistent and scalable experience through playbooks, processes, performance management and organizational structure
    • Lead and develop a high-performing and rapidly growing team of homes project managers, property specialists, workforce specialists and account executives to handle high company growth targets
    • Set and drive fulfillment operation KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
    • Take on responsibility for meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly company goals
    • Partner cross-functionally with our partnerships team and service operations team to continually evolve and enhance our operation productivity and customer experience
    • Manage escalations end-to-end ensuring complete and timely resolution

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 4+ years of operations leadership
    • 2+ years of experience within real estate, property management or construction
    • Experience developing and implementing scalable teams, processes and systems 
    • Excellent communicator with an ability to distill complex information into compelling narratives
    • Impeccable organization, attention to detail, and ability to handle high volume work load
    • Ability to work well under pressure, executing cross-functional projects and delivering on tight deadlines
    • Ability to develop and lead through quickly evolving strategies and product iterations
    • Proven ability to hire, manage and develop talent
    • Hands on leader with strong coaching abilities
    • Experience working in a high-growth startup (is a plus)
    • Property management experience (is a plus)
