JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for those that are driven, hard-working, and looking to grow professionally to come work our first shift. We don't publicize pay because we don't want to put a limit on anything. If you have more experience than what's required we aren't afraid to pay more!
The hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. You will occasionally be asked to work overtime. The purpose of this job is to oversee daily customer order shipments as a member of the shipping & logistics team.
To be considered for this position, you'll need prior experience in shipping, you'll need to be okay with traveling 10% of the time, and need to have experience with transportation and logistics. We need someone that doesn't need training using Microsoft Office, the internet, or Oracle. It's not required, but if you have a CDL you'll definitely stand out!
We need someone that can communicate well with others, can complete all tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, and can work well without supervision.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you'll be asked to perform a number of duties and sometimes be asked to help with other departments. For the most part, your day-to-day activities will consist of troubleshooting issues as they arise, helping with relaying information to our CSR team and keeping files on past shipments.
We'll also expect you to help with scheduling pickups, apply freight charges to orders, make sure all finished goods have the correct shipping labels, enter sales orders into Oracle, figure out the lowest cost freight carrier per shipment, and perform tracing activities when needed.
