Job Description
The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership of a group engaged in the generation and maintenance of all software associated with the support, manufacture, and operation of the fuel cell powerplants. Includes but is not limited to power plant controls, Human Machine Interface software (HMI), test stand software, Remote Monitoring System software (RMS), and Internet of Things (IOT) concepts. May lead or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaboration with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of systems software. Has responsibility for entire systems, projects and programs, and is accountable for budget, staffing, and operational results.
• Requires deep and broad technical understanding of software as a discipline, and software support and development requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Strong overall business acumen to assure alignment of software delivery pursuit and achievement is supportive of business objectives
• Manages/applies root cause techniques to assure optimal problem resolution

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science Engineering or similar discipline with 10+ years of experience
• MA/MS degree in Computer Science Engineering or similar discipline with 7+ years of experience
• PhD degree in Computer Science Engineering or similar discipline with 4+ years of experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL
• Strong strategic and tactical leadership skills
• Robust, advanced technical software data, process and systems expertise.
• Ability and experience understanding and executing to meet customer requirements
• Ability and experience working with a diverse group of technical and business-focused individuals and groups, occasionally on a global basis.

• Strong computer/systems skills
• Experience with Historian and SCADA systems with an understanding of data storage at cloud level
• Working knowledge of front end and back end tools associated with data analytics
