Dorothy's Discovery Daycare Center is a licensed center serving children 0-12 years old with 2 GSRP classrooms. Dorothy's was first licensed in 2003 as a group home then quickly grew into a multi center within 18 years. Dorothy is our Owner/Director with her husband Karlton, Owner/Business Manager plus more! We currently have 135 children enrolled within 9 classrooms located in Ypsilanti.

We are most interested in candidates who do have the passion to watch children grow and learn as we do. We are most interested in talking to applicants that have:

• Experience leading a classroom and creating lesson plans based around child’s interest and development
• Experience with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies is desired or a related curriculum
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Possess an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or a related field or willing to get training/education for the position
• Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring for and nurturing children
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work. Be available for at least 36 hours a week
• Have an interest in long-term employment for continuity of care for the children and families
