JOB SUMMARY: To provide skilled services to DotCom Therapy clients using a secure web-based platform. To assist with overall program development and project implementation necessary for service excellence. Skilled services are not limited to evaluations, treatment, consultations, screenings, and documentation of services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize a web-based platform for delivery of services.
- Provide evidence-based evaluations for students age 3-21 while following necessary evaluation protocol. Interpret results and prepare written evaluation report that follows DCT recommended guidelines.
- Provide mental health screenings and/or consultations when necessary.
- Confidently administer assessments for psychological disorders and interpret the results using a web-based platform.
- Confidently and effectively identify the presence and/or the risk of psychological disorders.
- Confidently select individualized and evidence-based approaches to intervention.
- Develop evidence-based plans in line with the appropriate governing bodies’ Code of Ethics.
- Design materials, prepare IEPs as needed, document goals, and modify goals based on student needs and performance.
- Perform advanced session planning upon request of school district.
- Provide therapy treatment for students, both individually and in group settings, using evidence-based approaches. Complete session SOAP notes within 24 hours of treatment.
- Maintain the flexibly to adapt/modify the treatment plan, intervention being utilized, and other professional areas in order to best provide an individualized therapy approach.
- Proficiently and professionally document services rendered.
- Confidently and accurately utilize data collection methods and tools for analysis of client performance.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team of professionals to develop student goals for improved educational success and maintain comprehensive documentation of services.
- Participate in IEP meetings, review existing data, and form team meetings.
- Communicate with families regarding services.
- Serve as a case manager or process coordinator, and ensure appropriate delivery of the treatment plan, when applicable.
- Discharge when appropriate.
- Confidently and professionally counsel individuals and groups regarding various disorders and the educational impact and/or impact on quality of life.
- Prepare quarterly progress report for schools, when necessary.
- Conduct school-based facilitator training.
- Understand and follow code of ethics and scope of practice outlined by the applicable governing body.
- Understand and follow the scope of practice and regulations of the state(s) in which licensed.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations, including The Privacy Rule and The Security Rule.
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy safeguards related specifically to speech therapy and teletherapy.
- Adhere to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Adhere to DCT Standards of Practice Manual.
- To pursue partnerships with outside organizations that further the mission of DotCom Therapy with guidance from DotCom Therapy Executive Team.
- To assist with development of DotCom Therapy School Psychology program and standards of practice.
- To develop materials, not limited to assessment templates or support materials for future therapists, as needed at the request of the Executive Director.
- Maintain up-to-date schedule in Google Calendar.
- Blog, hashtag, and post on media outlets regarding professional experiences and background as desired.
- Utilize Slack for collaboration and team building when desired.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification/Licensure: Nationally Certified School Psychologist, TX LSSP
EXPERIENCE:
- Pediatric Populations: At least 1 year of experience
- Documentation of School-Based Services, Including IEPs: At least 1 year of experience
- Continuing Education: Complete continuing education to maintain applicable certification and licensure.
MALPRACTICE INSURANCE: Maintain minimum of $1 million/$3 million aggregate.
TECHNOLOGY: Experience and comfort with use of various types of technology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- CONSTANT (90-100%): vision, hearing, talking
- FREQUENT (60-90%): hand movement, repetitive motions, finger dexterity, reading, writing, preparing/analyzing figures, sitting
- RARE (0-30%): travel by vehicle
