The Safety and Security Officer is responsible for providing protection and communication with hotel guests and employees. He/she is also responsible for patrolling hotel premises to maintain security, detect and report a fire, security, and safety hazards, and/or violations of rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly,courteous and service-oriented manner.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includewearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.

Comply at all times with service standards and regulations to encourage safeand efficient hotel operations.

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.

Respond to all guests' requests, problems, complaints, and/or accidents arising inperson or through reservations, comment cards, letters, and/or phone calls, in anattentive, courteous and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines ofcommunication with managers, employees, and other departments.

Ensure implementation of all policies and house rules. Understand hospitalityterms.

Be available to the hotel at all times.

Conduct walk-throughs of public areas and guestrooms to ensure thatcleanliness and maintenance standards are met.

Coordinate major projects such as renovations, capital expenditures, equipmentchange-over, etc.

Operate radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff.

Monitor all V.I.P’s, special guests, and requests.

Perform any other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma

Some experience in customer service
